Besides being a great crowd with a great vibe, we also saw two of our beloved friends off on new adventures. Psegga Jones, the former student Pastor at Christian Life Centre, has taken on the adventure of moving to Montreal to work in the Universities and Colleges of the Downtown Core. This is a really exciting move for her and we wish her all the best. Laura Sullivan, a member of Kingstreet church, is on a 4-6 month trip in Cambodia to serve along side missionaries there. Genine and the folks at the Gathering Place hosted THE LOBBY so well. A big thank you to them. To be honest, I wish there was a little better turnout from some other churches. But such is life. Young Adults do get busy and can't make everything on the calendar. The majority of the people were from PPC and a few of us from CLC. I'm hoping that our next couple of Cafe's move back to a more broad crowd of YA's from various churches. One of the reason's we do this Cafe is for people to connect and build some community.<br /><br />That being said, the band played great and we had a cool discussion on what it means to 'prepare for Easter'. How important are things like Lent & Holy Week? As promoted, we were at Southside in Ajax. It's a much smaller space than the other places that we've been at and will be at, but it made for a very lively, yet intimate setting.<br /><br />The chatter was quite loud and energetic, the music was great (Ben always does a great job) and I think there was a good representation of YA's in the area.<br /><br />The first leg of our tour is over. It was great. I don't think we could've asked for a better night. There were almost 30 people there, the band and Ben did a great job with music, and Ben's 5 minute talk on being grateful was excellent. The Evangel crew did such a great job with food and set-up too.<br /><br />We were a little anxious going into the night; being at a new location that's a little out of the way we really didn't know who would make it out.
